1
Soak a cotton ball with eye makeup remover and gently wipe over your eyelid to remove any current makeup. If you are washing your face completely, use a mild cleanser around your eye area.
-
2
Apply a primer to the eyelid to help the liquid liner stay on the eyelid for an extended time. Primer will also keep the liner in place and not smear to other parts of the eyelid.
-
-
3
Open the liquid eyeliner tube and hold the pen in one hand. Inspect the tip of the pen to ensure it is free of clumps of eyeliner. Clumping will cause a smudged or sloppy look.
-
4
Use one hand to hold the eyelid taut, and apply liquid liner with the other hand. Holding the eyelid taut will help create a smooth line.
-
5
Apply the liner from the inner eye toward the outer edge of the eye. The liner has a flexible tip that can line the lid as close to the lashes as possible.
-
6
Stop lining when you reach the edge of the eye. Make any corrections by dipping a cotton swab in eye makeup remover and running the swab along the lid. Repeat with the other eye.

Tips & Warnings
Thicken the eyeliner by applying a second coat of eyeliner over the first coat.
Create cat-eye eyeliner by angling the tip of the liner upward after you reach the edge of the outer eye.
Flush eyes immediately if eyeliner drips into them.
Close the cap on the eyeliner after each use to prevent it from drying out.
