1
Use the smaller of the circular objects as a template to trace a circle onto the black crafting foam. Trace completely around. You may need to press hard enough to impress the line into the craft foam, because it may be slightly difficult to see against the color of the foam. Cut out the circle using sharp scissors.
-
2
Punch holes out of the remaining piece of craft foam with the hole puncher. Collect the punched out foam "dots" and set them aside. These will be used as the dots on your lady bugs' wings.

3
Place the larger circular object on the red foam and trace around it carefully. Cut this circle out as well and then cut it down the middle into two halves.
-
4
Draw a small semi-circle free handed onto another piece of black craft foam. This shape will serve as the lady bug's head, so cut it proportional to the wings. Cut out the semicircle.
-
5
Glue the two halves of the red circle onto the black circle. Position each one with the top points touching, and the bottom points spaced a short distance apart. These are the wings, and positioned in this way, it will reveal a triangular shape of the black foam from beneath. Attach the dots randomly on the red "wings" (the two semicircles) with crafting glue.
-
6
Glue the head on top of the wings at the point where they meet. Position the head so that only the bottom portion of it is actually attached to the lady bug. Attach the bread ties onto the lady bug's head.
-
7
Attach a magnet onto the underside of the lady bug using the hot glue gun. Allow the craft glue to dry thoroughly before handling or using.
