How to Earn All the Vaction Mementoes in The Sims 2: Bon Voyage

When your Sims go on vacation, there is a set of special Vacation Mementos that your Sim can experience. They have no effect on gameplay, but getting the memories is half the fun of sending your Sims on vacation! You can check the Vacation Memento panel for hints on what you need to do to get each Memento, but here are some extra hints you may find helpful.

Instructions

1. Take every guided tour. They cost a bit extra, but your Sim can get a lot out of them besides Mementos. You can gain skill points and get maps to secret locations. Several Mementos require you to go on specific tours or a certain number of tours, so why not just do them all?

2. Act like a tourist. What do tourists do? They eat at local restaurants, buy souvenirs, order photos and scope out the hot spots at the resorts they visit. Acting like a tourist is sure to result in some Mementos and some fun times for you and your Sims.

3. Get to know the locals. Each vacation destination is populated by locals who know how to act. Each locale has special gestures and dances that are unique to the area. If you can get to know them, your Sim is sure to have a fun time and blend in better.

4. Have a look around. Each vacation destination has a secret location that can be accessed by a map. Maps can be found by digging for treasure or through guided tours. Taking the time to find a secret location is worth every bit of effort. Once you find the secret location, there is always something extraordinary to do there. Check it out!

5. Learn something new. Many destinations have useful things your Sims can learn besides the Local Gesture. Some are skills, some are stories, some are special dances. To learn some of these, you may need to find the secret locations. If you can learn something new, your Sim's life may be changed forever. Mystery awaits you!
