Instructions

    • 1

Purchase some Gerbera daisies. They come in a variety of sizes and colors. If using a larger one do a single flower corsage. If you have smaller daisies use two or three flowers. Get some filler, berries or leaves to use with the flowers.

    • 2

Measure the wrist of the intended person. Cut an elastic strip an inch shorter than the measurement of the wrist so the elastic will be fitted around the wrist and not fall off. Sew the two ends of the elastic together so you have an elastic wrist band.

    • 3

Cut the end of the Gerbera(s). Arrange fillers, berries or leaves behind the flower to complement its natural beauty and make it stand out even more. Cut the stems to even them out. Wrap the stems with floral tape. Wrap a ribbon around the taped stems. Tie the ribbon into a bow or just secure it down by gluing it to the stems lightly with hot glue.

    • 4

Add additional small ribbons or other embellishments such as rhinestones. Sew the ribbon-wrapped stems to the elastic band. Shake the corsage gently to make sure no flowers or other items fall out or come apart. You need the corsage to be durable enough to last through an entire event.

    • 5

Keep the corsage in a cool place such as the refrigerator. Place it in a shallow plastic container and place moist paper towels over the stems to keep them hydrated. Mist with water every couple of hours. That's it! Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings

  • Make the corsage on the day of the event if possible.

  • Don't touch the petals excessively, as Gerbera daisies wilt and brown easily
