Putting on cologne the wrong way can have adverse results. If you put on too much other people will be overpowered by the scent. If you are using too little, no one will be able to smell the cologne that you probably paid a lot of money for. There is a great way to put cologne to ensure that you smell great. The goal is for your cologne to be subtle.

From Quick Guide: Cologne Guide
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One bottle of cologne

    Cologne Application

  1. Step 1

Make sure that your bottle of cologne is spraying out the correct amount. If you just bought your bottle, or haven't used it for a long time, it may take a few pumps to actually get any cologne out of the bottle.

  2. Step 2

Spray one pump worth of cologne on either your left or right wrist.

  3. Step 3

Rub your wrists together so cologne is now on both of your wrists.

  4. Step 4

Rub your wrists on the side of your neck where you would usually feel for your pulse.

Tips & Warnings
  • Rubbing the cologne on your wrists and your neck places the cologne on the parts of your body that have a strong pulse. This helps spread the cologne into the air. Additionally, this helps to have your cologne spread on different parts of your body so the cologne is not concentrated on one part of your body.
  • Whether or not you smell good depends heavily on the quality of cologne you have purchased. Choose your cologne wisely and never use too much of it at one time.
