Throwing a surprise party can be tough. Trying to get everything organized and planned sometimes can be daunting. Here are some good tips on throwing a surprise party for a boyfriend.

From Quick Guide: Plan a Surprise Party
Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Decorations (balloons, streamers, birthday signs, ect.)
  • Food (anything you want to make)
  • Cake
  • Ice Cream
  1. Step 1

Get a guest list together and send everyone an invitation. E-vite is a great way to do it online. This way, there is a smaller risk of your boyfriend finding a paper trail of invitations. Make sure no one tells him anything. Make sure they get there at least 30 minutes before the birthday boy so he doesn't get suspicious if he sees a group of his friends walking towards his home.

  2. Step 2

Get the keys to his home if you don't have them already, and start decorating. Buy streamers, balloons and anything else festive. Put it all around the house. Put the cake and ice cream out where your birthday boy can see it when he walks in along with the food and drinks for the guests.

  3. Step 3

Offer to pick your boyfriend up from work and tell him you're taking him out for drinks. Act like you forgot something important at his house and that you need to stop by and pick it up. You'll need to come up with an idea to get him to come with you inside. Use your inside knowledge as his girlfriend to come up with something easy.

  4. Step 4

Make sure everyone hides inside in the dark. When he opens the door, yell surprise and get the party started.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you have a fake date with your boyfriend on his birthday so he doesn't get upset thinking you forgot about him and decides to go drinking with his buddies.
  • Invite someone your boyfriend hasn't seen in a while that lives out of town.
