Make Roses Out of Hershey Kisses

With a few minutes work, a few supplies and some Hershey Kisses candy, you can make beautiful rose buds that are sure to delight, and please the lucky receiver. These make great bouquets, centerpieces for weddings, or gifts for loved ones when they are ill and in the hospital.

Better yet, this is a great craft that both older children and adults will enjoy making. Find out how to make beautiful rose buds out of Hershey Kisses candy here!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Using a small piece of double stick tape, attach the bottom ends of 2 Hershey Kisses together.

  2. Step 2

Cut a piece of red cellophane into a 5-by-5 inch square.

  3. Step 3

Place the 2 attached Hershey Kisses in the cellophane with the tip of one of the kisses in the center.

  4. Step 4

Fold the cellophane over the top of the 2 kisses. Then continue to wrap the cellophane over the kisses, so that the edges of the cellophane meet at the very bottom of one of the points of the Kisses.

  5. Step 5

Using a 3-inch piece of the green florist tape, wrap this around the end of the opened cellophane to securely seal the Kisses inside of the cellophane. This forms the rose itself.

  6. Step 6

Gently insert one of the florist’s sticks into the base of the rose, being careful not to insert the stick into the Kiss itself.

  7. Step 7

Use the florist tape to attach the florist stick at the base of the rose. Then continue to wind the florist tape in a diagonal manner down the florists stick.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use any type of Hershey Kiss candies.
  • Use different colors of cellophane to make a beautiful, multi-colored boquet.

on 4/30/2009 Very cute idea: I'm going to try this (if I don't end up eating all the Hershey's Kisses first!). And thank you for the compliment on one of my articles.
