-
1
Choose a large picture, at least the size of an 8½-by-11-inch piece of paper, that has a distinct design with many colors or shapes. Something with relatively little color or images within the picture can make a jigsaw puzzle considerably harder and duller.
-
2
Glue this picture onto cardboard or poster board.
-
-
3
Draw a puzzle design lightly onto the back of the cardboard with a pencil. Make sure all your puzzle pieces do not have the same shape. If you're making this for a child, make sure the pieces are big enough for her to grasp.
-
4
Cut the pieces apart and try out your new puzzle.
