How to Make Peanut Butter Cups

Peanut butter cups are a beloved American candy treat. You can whip up a batch of these treats at home. Bring homemade peanut butter cups to your next holiday party, or give them to friends and family as gifts. This recipe makes about two dozen peanut butter cups.

Things You'll Need

• 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
• 1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 8 ounces confectioners' coating (white chocolate), broken up
• 1/2 cup creamy peanut
• 24 paper bonbon cups
• Saucepan

Instructions

1. Blend the 1/3 cup of peanut butter, the powdered sugar and vanilla. Allow the mixture to chill.

2. Roll the mixture into 24 balls, using ½ teaspoon of the mixture for each.

3. Place in 1 1/2-inch paper bonbon cups.

4. Melt confectioners' coating and the 1/2 cup of peanut butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly.

5. Spoon the mixture into cups to fill. Allow the peanut butter cups to cool.
