Instructions

    • 1

Get a piece of tubing roughly the diameter of golf ball, 1 1/2- to 2- inches.

    • 2

Build an air chamber out of PVC pipe that is at least the same volume of the barrel that will serve as the air reservoir.

    • 3

Fit a Schrader valve on the rear of the reservoir and a bore pilot valve on the barrel end.

    • 4

Attach the barrel to the pilot valve and fill the reservoir with 150 200 psi of air.

    • 5

Operate the air gun by sliding your projectile down the muzzle and aiming the barrel in a safe direction and opening the bore pilot valve. Purge the air chamber before refilling.

Tips & Warnings

  • Golf balls are an excellent weight and density for long distance flights up to 500 yards. For shorter distances and less dangerous ammunition try using small foam balls with 12-inch tails of duct tape attached to the bottoms.

  • The size of the barrel tube needs to be roughly the size of the proposed projectile to prevent air escaping around the sides of the projectile or the projectile causing friction in the barrel.

  • Wrap the air reservoir with two zigzagging layers of duct tape to protect against shrapnel in case of malfunction.

  • It is advisable to attach a third bleeder valve to the air reservoir so you can be sure the chamber is clear in case of malfunction.
