1
Select a neutral eye shadow based on your skin tone. Often different shades of brown are best, paired with a glistening light pink or silver eye shadow or some other rich color.
-
2
Position a mirror in a lighted area so that you can look straight ahead into it. Applying shadow while looking down will cause the angles of the brush to tilt downward.
-
-
3
Apply the glistening shadow to the eye shadow brush, tap off any excess and apply over your entire eyelid.
-
4
Rub the eye shadow brush in the neutral brown eye shadow, tap off any excess and apply a fine line along the outer half of your eye brow line and along your lash line.
-
5
Change to the eye shadow sponge with a small amount of the color eye shadow on it. Starting half way out from the inside corner of your eye lid, apply the shadow in an outward motion from right above the lash line to right below the brow line.
-
6
Flip to the clean side of the eye shadow sponge and do not add any more color; this is for blending the shadow that is already there. Place the sponge in the inside corner of your eyelid and pull it out in straight horizontal lines repeatedly along the lash line to directly under your eye brow.
-
7
Brush any stray eye shadow that is near your temple away with your finger in an upward and outward direction.
