How to Make a Bra Purse

Not many people know that you can make a handy purse out of an old bra. If you’ve ever wondered if there's a way to recycle a bra, you’ve come to the right place. All you need is some fabric glue, a pair of scissors and a bra to make yourself a handy little purse. Follow the steps to make your own bra purse.

Things You'll Need:

• Scissors
• Bra
• Glue

1. Remove the straps from the cups of the bra using the scissors. Cut the straps as close to the cups as possible without cutting into the cup material and place the straps to the side. You will need to save the straps in order to make handles for the bra purse.

2. Glue the two cups of the bra together. Glue along the bottom wire line of the bra. Make sure that you use enough glue to support the items you plan to carry in your purse. Don't use too much or you'll end up sealing the pouch you're trying to create.

3. Leave an opening at the top of the purse that's big enough to fit your items inside. For most bras, you'll want to leave the opening at the point where the straps were originally connected to the bra.

4. Reconnect the straps of the bra to the top of the purse on the edges of the opening. Use the glue to firmly connect the straps to make a handle for your purse.

5. Use your glue to connect decorations to the pouch of your purse. You can use beads and other decorations to make your bra purse look more elegant. Allow the glue to dry before you use your new purse.

Tips & Warnings

• Use heavy duty glue so that your purse will hold up for longer and withstand all weather conditions.
• You can also sew a bra purse to make it sturdier.
• Don’t use decorations that will snag on things as you are walking. You don’t want your purse to catch on something and break.
