Get started at Yahoo's home page (see Resources below).

Find the log-in area on the Yahoo home page and sign in. If you don't have an account, click on the link that says 'Sign Up.' You will be led to a registration page where you'll need to enter some important information to sign up for your account.

Fill out the form with your name, birth date and other requested information. Select a username to identify yourself to email and chat recipients. It's a good idea not to use your full name if you'll be chatting with strangers.

Choose your password carefully. The password must be at least 6 characters long and should not be the same as other passwords you use online to protect your personal information.

Finish entering requested information. Once you have agreed to the terms, you have completed the sign-up process. You will receive an email confirmation within minutes to confirm that you have successfully created your Yahoo account.

Click on the 'Games' link on Yahoo's home page. This will lead you to the Yahoo Games home page.

Choose a game to play. The most well-liked Yahoo Games are featured on the main games page. Other games can be accessed by clicking on the link that says 'All Games.'

Choose a game simply by clicking on it. Now you are in that game's room.

Choose a gaming lounge that best suits your playing level. If you are new to the game, start in a beginners' lounge and work your way up. Just click on the name of the lounge to enter.

Read the game's rules thoroughly and explore the lounge's chat room, if it has one. When you're ready, just click 'Join' to join a game and you're ready to play. Have fun!
