How to Make a Ruler Picture Frame
Your child can make this inexpensive gift for a favorite teacher. It's also a cute frame for school pictures. You'll have matching frames without having to search the stores for the exact frame you used the year before.

- Wooden Cutouts
- Brown Paper Bags
- Glue Guns
- Glues
- Picture Frames
- Picture Hangers

Lay your photograph on the table.

Place four rulers around the picture, overlapping them as needed to make the frame fit your picture.

Use a pencil to mark where the rulers overlap.

Remove the rulers and the picture.

Lay the rulers back on the table, aligning them to the pencil marks.

Use hot glue or craft glue (if you're working with small children) to attach the rulers at the corners.

Let the glue dry completely before picking up the frame.

Attach the picture to the frame using glue or double-sided tape.

Cover the back of the frame and picture with brown paper (cut up a paper bag), attached with glue or double-sided tape.

Tips & Warnings
If you want to cover your photograph with glass, use an inexpensive frame from a discount store or garage sale. Glue the rulers to the top of the frame.
Embellish your frame with wooden cutouts shaped like apples or pencils.
