How to Move to the Net in "Wii Sports"

“Wii Sports” offers a collection of sports mini-games to Wii owners, including a challenging tennis game that supports up to four players. While the movement of Wiis on the court is not controllable by the player, it is possible to get a bit of practice at the net using the “Wii Sports” practice mode. This is the only method for predictably moving your Mii to the net.

  • Start “Wii Sports.” Select Training Mode and choose “Tennis: Returning Balls.”

  • Load into the game and play as you normally play. Swing the Wii remote to return balls hit in your direction.

  • Return 10 balls and your character will rush the net. Hit five balls from the net and your character will run back.

  • Repeat this process until you miss a return or hit the ball out of bounds.
