How to Clean Spots in a Chrome Sink
Chrome has always been a common household material used in faucets and fixtures found all over the house. Nowadays, it serves as a chic material for modern decor accessories and furniture pieces. Chrome sinks have a tendency to acquire water spots, which ruin their pristine appearance. Cleaning chrome is tricky as you need to avoid all abrasive cleaners. Abrasive cleaners will cut through the plating that creates chrome's typical shine. Things You'll Need
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup white vinegar
- Spray bottle
- Toothbrush
- Clean towels
- Aluminum foil
- Cola
- Small dish
Instructions

Water Spots

Pour 1 cup water into a spray bottle. Add 1 cup distilled white vinegar. Replace the cap and shake the spray bottle well.

Spray the chrome sink with a thick, generous layer of the liquid. Allow it to penetrate for five minutes.

Run an old, soft toothbrush over the sink, scrubbing out the water spots gently. Rinse the sink with cold water. Wipe the sink completely dry with a towel. The spots will be gone and the vinegar will have brought the chrome to a bright shine.
Rust Spots

Tear off a piece of aluminum foil that is approximately 12 inches square. Crumple it up into a loose ball.

Pour cola into a shallow pan. Dip the crumpled aluminum foil into the cola and swab down the sink, targeting the rust spots.

Dip the crumpled aluminum foil into the cola again and continue to scrub the sink in this manner until the rust stains are completely gone.

Rinse the sink with cold water and wipe it dry with a clean towel.
