Compressed air
If your car bumper is dented, there is an effective and simple method of repair available that also costs very little. It also only takes about 10 minutes from start to finish. It makes use of the cooling effect in a can of compressed air, which actually pops dents out without using complicated dent pullers, metal shapers or drills. It is a real touch-free method of pulling dents in bumpers, doors and other parts of your car as well.
Step 1
Assess the bumper and the area where the dented metal is present. Make sure there are no obstructions such as trim, lighting, wires or anything else that might be damaged or interfere as the dent pops out.

Step 2
Apply heat from a hair dryer or a heat gun to the dented bumper. Heat the bumper for at least 30 seconds or more.
Step 3
Hold a can of compressed air upside down so the bottom of the can faces up and point the nozzle toward the dent. Depress the spray button and spray a burst of air over the dented bumper. Allow the liquid carbon dioxide to disperse onto the bumper. Holding the can upside down causes this to occur.
Step 4
Wait until the dent pops out. If it remains, heat the bumper for a longer period of time with the hair dryer and reapply the compressed air.
Warning
This process may crack paint and gel coat but it is safe to use on almost any type of painted metal or chrome surface. It is a low-impact way to remove a dent and often less harmful and damaging than drill-and-pull, metal shaping or plunger pull-out dent removal.
