Wet liquid craft glue creates a rippling affect when used on copy paper.

If you use liquid craft glue or a glue stick to apply copy paper to canvas, the paper will wrinkle. This will distort any images on the copy paper, leaving a messy final product. To avoid this, use a spray adhesive -- unlike other adhesives, it is light and it dries quickly. You can find it at your local craft store or office supply store.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn over the copy paper so that the back is faced upward. Make sure you are in a well-ventilated area.

    • 2

Shake the can of spray adhesive. Spray an even light coat of spray adhesive on the back of the copy paper. Spray at least six inches away from the copy paper.

    • 3

Pick up the copy paper gently at the top right and left bottom corner.

    • 4

Lay the top right corner in place on the canvas. Keep holding the bottom corner with your left hand.

    • 5

Pick up the ruler and with the press down on the corner and slowly move diagonally toward your left hand, placing the paper down as you go. When the paper is down completely on the canvas, go over it again with the edge of the ruler, pressing lightly to ensure the paper is smooth. Refer to your can of spray adhesive for a proper drying time.
