Instructions

  1. General Goodie Bag

    • 1

Select some type of bag or container to hold the items in the goody bag. Pick a container large enough to hold the items. For example, buy bags made specifically as goody bags from party supply stores. These typically have a character or scene printed on the front. If you don't want to use bags, select a container that fits the season or party. For example, use a snow block mold to hold the items if giving out the goodies at a winter party.

    • 2

Place the largest items in the goody bags. Small gardening tools, coloring books, dress-up accessories, thin cookbooks, cooking supplies and craft kits all work well. Arrange the items so they sit neatly in the container. You only need one large item, but you can use up to three.

    • 3

Add the smaller items to the container. Pencils, candy, stencils, scissors, glue, plastic rings, spring toys and seed packets are useful additions. Select smaller items that are related to the main piece. For example, if you put a plastic hand shovel in the container, add in two or three seed packets, gardening gloves and gummy worms. Arrange the items around the large one.

    • 4

Place the goody bags on a tray to give out at the end of the party as the guests leave. This way, the guests will open them as they leave instead of in the middle of the party.
