The product that started it all is Coca-Cola itself. Atlanta pharmacist John Pemberton was inspired by curiosity and mixed together a caramel-colored liquid that he carried to Jacob's Pharmacy. He combined it with carbonated water, and the people who sampled it knew it was special. The drink sold at a rate of nine glasses a day. Pemberton died in 1888 before the company saw any great success. Today there are several varieties of Coke, including Diet Coke, Coke Zero and Cherry Coke. Other soft drinks are Sprite, orange and grape Fanta and A&W Root Beer.
