Constructed with durable suede on the exterior and soft sheepskin on the interior, Uggs are fashionable footwear that will last years with the proper care. The tough adhesive known as Super Glue can damage even the durable suede of Uggs. When dealing with Super Glue, it is best to remove it as soon as possible. The longer the glue sits on the suede, the more difficult removing it becomes. Unfortunately, the common Super Glue removal method can damage suede and you must take caution when using it.

Step 1

Brush dried Super Glue off the Ugg with a suede brush. Brush gently in the direction of the suede's nap for several seconds.

Step 2

Pour acetone into a small dish. You can find acetone in many nail polish removers. Dip a cotton swab in the acetone and gently rub the Super Glue off the suede. Replace the soiled cotton swab with a fresh one and continue rubbing until you have removed the Super Glue.

Step 3

Dampen a lint-free cloth in cool water and blot the acetone off the Uggs. Blot from the middle of the area treated with the acetone and work your way outward. Blot the entire suede with a damp, lint-free cloth. This will allow the suede to dry in a uniform pattern and prevent any water lines.

Step 4

Clean the Uggs with approved cleaner and conditioner as you normally would. Stuff the Uggs with newspaper to hold their shape and let them dry out of direct sunlight and away from direct heat.
