Remove scratches from laminate flooring with wood putty.

Laminate flooring has the look of hardwood, but costs significantly less. Laminate floors come in a variety of wood colorings to accent any home decor. Although the flooring is quite resilient, scratches can occur over time. If left, the scratches build up with dirt, leaving the floor looking drab. Removing scratches on the laminate flooring allows the wood appearance to shine through.

Step 5

Avoid walking in the area for 24 hours to allow the filler time to firm up and dry.

Tip

Pick up furniture instead of dragging it across laminate flooring to avoid scratches.

For minor scratch marks, use a colored pencil used for filling in scratches in wood flooring.
