If you have a project that requires you to glue rubber to wood, such as in stamp-making, it can seem a little overwhelming at first. While many adhesives work on wood, it's difficult to find one that works well on rubber. Fortunately, these adhesives do exist and can be found at most craft or home improvement stores. However, you must follow proper procedures to ensure the rubber and wood stay attached to one another.

Step 2

Apply an even layer of water-resistant and temperature-resistant adhesive to the wood surface.

Step 3

Press the rubber against the glued surface and hold it firmly in place for at least one minute while the adhesive dries.

Step 4

Keep the newly attached pieces in a well-ventilated area for at least an hour. The adhesive should be completely dry before you handle it.

Tip

Barges and 3M Fastbond 30-NF adhesives are good for this type of job.
