How to Marinate Chicken Using Liquid Smoke

  • One cut-up chicken

  • ½ cup cooking oil

  • ½ tsp. Liquid Smoke

  • 1 tsp thyme and oregano

  • 1 tbsp. rosemary

  • 1 clove minced garlic

  • Measuring cups and spoons

  • Small glass bowl

  • Shallow ceramic dish

  • Plastic wrap

  • Oven

  • Instant-read thermometer (with probe)

Step 1

Measure and pour the oil, Liquid Smoke, thyme, oregano, rosemary and minced garlic into the small glass bowl. Mix the ingredients well to create the marinade.

Place the cut-up chicken into the shallow ceramic dish and pour the marinade over the chicken pieces. Use your clean hands to rub the marinade over all surfaces of the chicken.

Cover the ceramic dish with plastic wrap and place it into the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Marinade the chicken for up to 24 hours, if desired.

Step 4

Remove the chicken from the refrigerator and bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for one to two hours. Insert the thermometer probe into the thickest portion of the largest chicken piece. When the temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit, remove the chicken from the oven.
