TOMS is a brand of walking shoe that focuses on comfort. The company is known for donating one pair of shoes to a disadvantaged child per pair of shoes someone purchases. Clean the shoes carefully so you don't soak the base. Soaking it can cause it to smell bad. Use this process to clean canvas TOMS shoes.

Step 2

Dip a cloth in the solution and wring it out so that it is damp but not dripping.

Step 3

Rub the cloth over the stain, working from the edges of the stain toward the center to ensure you don't spread the mark. Continue using as much solution as possible until the stain is gone or until it is as light as possible. Be careful not to get the base very wet as it can cause the shoe to smell.

Step 5

Blot the rubbing alcohol over the stain until it is gone. Rubbing alcohol is particularly effective in cleaning ink, oil or food stains.

Step 6

Blot the shoes dry with a clean dry cloth. Let them air-dry completely.
