    1. Costume or Dress

      • One of the easiest ways to create an angel costume is to purchase a white leotard, white tights and a tutu. A fluffy white skirt will also work well. Purchase gold ribbon from a fabric store and tie a belt with a big fluffy bow on the back of the skirt. If your child already has a white dress, add to it by purchasing gold cording and using it as a belt around the dress. Sewing a costume from a pattern is another option.

      Accessories

      • It's easy to make a halo. Buy a holiday garland and add gold glitter to it to match the gold cording in the outfit. You can also use a glue gun and glue gold beads on each piece of garland. Or, you can spray-paint the entire piece of garland in gold. Cut the garland so it fits on your child's head and use wire to secure the two ends together.

White dress shoes with fluffy laces look pretty when paired with white tights. White kid gloves are another accessory that will add to the entire look of the costume.

      Angel Wings

      • Draw angel wings on a piece of heavy cardboard. The wings should extend approximately 2 feet across the cardboard. Cut out the wings with a utility knife and spray-paint them gold. Use a glue gun to attach gold jewelry beads around the perimeter of the wings. Buy several different types of beads, in several shapes and colors. Or, you can just add gold glitter to the wings for extra glitz.

To attach the wings, punch four holes on the back of the wings, at the area where they meet. Tie a thin white ribbon through the wings so that they crisscross your child's chest.
