A sexy sailor girl costume is the perfect choice for an adult Halloween party. To make your own costume, purchase a sexy royal blue leotard or teddy, and a red mini skirt. On your legs, wear white fishnet thigh-highs. You can find these at many adult novelty stores. Purchase white stiletto sandals or platform red Mary Jane shoes. Find a cute white sailors hat or white visor to round out your look.
If you have a young girl that wants to be a sailor girl for Halloween, purchase a blue leotard at a ballerina supply store. Wear white tights under the leotard and red Capri length leggings over the leotard. Find a pattern and make a red and white striped knee length skirt go go over the leggings. A cute sailor hat, ruby red Mary Jane shoes or ballet slippers, and some freckles painted on the face area round out this adorable look. Many little boys admire sailors. If your little man wishes to be a sailor for Halloween, you should be able to create a very inexpensive sailor costume. Purchase a short sleeved white button front shirt and some white slacks. Accessories include a blue bandanna, a cute sailor's hat, and a blue belt with a gold belt buckle. White sneakers round out the crisp-dress white look. When dressing your little sailor, tuck the shirt in to the slacks. Then, add the belt around the waist. Tie the blue bandanna around the inside of the collar of the white shirt similar to how a tie would be tied. For a trick-or-treating container, have your little boy carry an American flag pillowcase. If you cannot find one, your little boy can create his own. Take a white pillow case and stencil on the lines of the flag using a pencil. Then, add color using some markers.

Popeye the Sailor Man and his infamous can of spinach is one of the most popular sailor characters of all time. If you are an adult going to a party as a couple, consider going as Popeye and Olive Oyl. A Popeye costume is easy to create. All you need are a pair of brown shoes, jeans, a navy blue t-shirt, some gold buttons, a red bandanna and a white cap. On the navy blue t-shirt, hot glue three gold buttons below the neckline. The red bandanna is worn around the neck. A wooden pipe is a great accessory that will make Popeye costume authentic. Consider painting anchor tattoos on each arm using a picture of Popeye as your guide.
You can create your own Popeye accessories. For instance, a child dressing as Popeye can take a coffee can, paint it to look like a spinach can, and add a handle using wire and carry a spinach can to carry trick-or-treating loot.
