Hi, my name is Tanya, and I'm an instructor at Gold's Gym. I want to show you three different types of free kind of yoga poses, and they're pretty fantastic poses. All I want you to do is start with your feet flat, really have a long spine here and I want you to grab your right leg or your ankle. This is Tree Pose. You can either place it on your inner thigh by your hand or just pull it up. Now with this pose you've got to pull the abs in and I'm pressing into my inner thigh and I'm letting my inner thigh press right back into the foot, shoulders down, abs in, this pose is really challenging at first but it's really an amazing core strengthening exercise, leg strengthening exercise. It helps you focus, relax, helps you calm the mind, calm the breath and that's just one of those amazing poses that you do. Okay, another one, just coming down going straight in from Tree to Warrior II. Take the legs nice and wide. I'm going to turn my right leg out, let your right heel be in perfect alignment with the left arch of that foot. So I want you to really bend that right leg, come low, tuck the tail under, send the arms straight out, melt the shoulders down, abs are in. Now you do not want that knee to go over the toe, come nice and low, Warrior II. That's a great pose, hold it as long as you can, pretty fantastic stuff. Okay, so that's a pose you can hold which is really nice. Another one, Eagle Pose Legs. So I'm going to show you from the front first. Take your right leg, I'm going to wrap it around. You can either put the toes to the floor or just wrap that leg all the way around the other one, hips forward. So I want you to take your right arm, underneath the left and bring the palms of the hands together if you can and I've got this in front of my face and that's forward to you. Now, I'm going to turn to the side so you can see what I'm doing, wrapping this leg around and this arm goes underneath, palms come together. Now think of sending the palms away from you and up. So, that is an amazing shoulder stretch as well as really working the lower body. Those are three great exercises that you can just kind of hold, focus on the breath and it really gives you amazing confidence and strength.
