Hello my name is Melissa. I'm here at Maui Tan in Atlanta. We have two locations. This is our Vinings location. Our other location is in Midtown Atlanta. Here we offer UVB free beds, mystic spray tans, all sorts of products and a great knowledge about tanning. In the past years many dangers have come out about indoor tanning. However the Indoor Tanning Association would like to stress that tanning done in moderation can be done safely. You want to make sure that you are wearing your eyeglasses in the bed to help protect your eyes from any dangerous rays. You also want to be sure to keep yourself very moisturized while you are in the bed helping protect you from burning. Dry skin burns easier, moisturized skin is going to give you that nice golden tan. Another way that you can take more precaution while in the tanning bed would be to wear a light SPF on any areas that tend to be more sensitive such as your face or your chest. Remember everybody has different skin types. Some people may be able to stay in the bed longer while others can't stay in for very long. Make sure you get with your salon employee to figure out the best time and bed level for you.
