"Hi this is Mark The Shark in Miami Beach, Florida, from marktheshark.com. On this clip I am going to show you how to string a fishing pole with guidelines. After you have filled your reel up with brand new line take the end of the line, and if you have rollers on your rod you want to go through the rollers, you want to go underneath the first one, and over the top of the next one. Make sure you go through each one of these individually all the way up to the top. Get it all the way up here, go very slowly make sure you don't miss out on the rollers. Very important to go over the top of the roller, and not underneath the roller. And the last is the roller tip. Make sure go out to the top of there, come on back down again, and you are ready to go. You are ready to rock and roll. We can also string a different kind of pole. This is called a spinning rod made for light tackle fishing. What you want to do is get the end of the line right here, open the bail up, and then you can see these are a little different than the first ones you made. These are not rollers these are spinning guides. They are made for light, light tackle. You want to make sure you go through all of them right here all the way up. Now there is no rollers on this rod at all it is all spinning guides. So they are a lot larger, and usually they are made of ceramic, which means less friction on the line so you won't break the light line. Most of these spinning rods are equipped with real light lines so you want to make sure that all these lines are going through with the guides. And that is how it comes off the rods. All the way up, make sure it is done, and you are ready to go. On the spinning rods you can see all the guides are on the lower part of the rod this is how the rod bends. So that is why the guides are on the bottom of the rod as opposed to the conventional rods where you have the guide on top, and that is how it bends. So that is the difference between the spinner, and the conventional guides. I'm Mark The Shark, thanks for watching."
