"Hi, I'm Jan. Would you like to know how to crochet some easy pot holders? Here's an example, and I'll show you just how simple it is. I'm using two strands of yarn to make this easy pot holder, because you want your pot holder to be very useful, thick, so you don't burn yourself on those pots and pans. Fun idea too, would be, if you're using if for a gift, to find out the colors that your person has in their kitchen, and try to match it up. So we're going to start just by chaining twenty stitches using both strands, it's not any different than using one strand, you just pull two strands together. When your pot holder's the size you want, you just simply work the rest of it in single crochets. Doesn't get any easier than this. By adding the two colors, it makes it look a little bit more complicated, but it also makes it nice and thick. To create the little handle at the top, before you pull all and tie the yarn off, make a chain about ten or twelve stitches. Cut the yarn off, fasten it back, and you've got a great little handle to tie up your pot holder."
