"Hi, I'm Chris Bryce, from SuperService.com. I'd like to talk to you about how to open the Windows Registry Editor. Now, there's a couple of different ways to do this, based on the version of Windows that you have. From Windows Vista, we will look at that first, because it's a little different, than the other operating systems that are out there. For Windows Vista, what you're going to want to do, is you'll hold down the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete keys. This will allow you to bring up Task Manager. Once you click on Task Manager, in the upper left hand corner of Task Manager, you'll click on File, and then Run Task. When you go to the Run Task dialog box, you're going to type in Reg Edit. That's R-e-g E-d-i-t, and hit ok. When you click ok, this is going to bring up the Registry Editor, and now you've got the Registry Editor open, and can edit the registry. In Windows XP, 95, 98, 2000, and ME, you're going to want to go to the start button, in the lower left hand corner of the screen. Click on Run, and then in that Run dialog box, you'll type in the same thing,Reg Edit, R-e-g E-d-i-t, and then click ok. This is going to bring up the Registry Editor in those operating systems, and those are the two different scenarios, of how to open the Windows Registry Editor."
