"My name is Staff Sargent Hawkins, I'm a local army recruiter based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Today I'm going to talk briefly about the army reserves and the college opportunities that they can provide. When someone comes to us and wants to join the army reserves here in town, they will go away for basic training, and their job training, which they choose, we do not choose that for them, they will return to Salt Lake City, and they will attend the college of their choice, we do not tell them what college to attend, or what to take in college, as long as they're working towards a degree, then we're perfectly happy with that. We're going to give them Montgomery GI bill, which is roughly 317 dollars a month, depending on what their education credentials are, they could be qualified for an additional 350 dollars a month, we're also going to pay them a 100 percent of their tuition, up to a maximum of 250 dollars per credit hour, or 4500 dollars per year. Also one of the bigger benefits that we have out here now, as of April, 28th, of this year, 08, we have 50,000 dollars in student loan repayment, that means, that you can get your student loans through your school, and the army is going to pay those back, it's not a loan that you currently have to have, you can accrue those through your collage career. And for more information on the army reserves, and the college benefits that we can offer you, please contact me at, 801-487-8686."
