"Hi, I'm Terry and in this segment I'm going to show you how to paint your nails. Now I'm starting with bare nails right now. If you aren't starting with bare nails, you want to make sure that you remove any old nail polish you have on. Never put chipped or layers of nail polish over top other nail polish. It creates a really uneven finish. So remove any old nail polish first and if your nails aren't nicely filed go ahead and make sure that you file them, either squared or rounded however you like it. Just so that there's no edges or rough ends. Or and if you need to clip them go ahead and do that as well. Then you're going to go ahead and pick the color you want. I'm going to go ahead and choose this red, nice deep red. Now I start with my dominant hand, I'm a lefty so I'm going to paint my right first because it's the less shaky. Have a nice firm place so you can place your hand down, something that's not going to move or shake around. And you can start with any finger you want. I'm just going to go ahead and start with the middle one. And I always start in the middle of the nail and work my way to the edges. I don't start with a lot of nail polish on it. In fact there's hardly any nail polish on it when I first do it. I'm going to get all the way to the edges very gently. Then I can go ahead and start applying several more coats to give it that nice dark rich color, like that. Nice thin layers of coats is the trick. I'm going to let that dry for about a half an hour, go back and do another coat. And that's how to do nail polish."
