"Concentration is our ability to be able to focus on a test over considerable period of time. My name is Gloria Campbell, I'm with Advances Training Systems located in St. Petersburg, Florida. Sometimes we need to know how to improve our concentration. And there are about four things that we can do to make sure that we are at our best. Be fit. Sometimes if we're tired, we had a little too much, we drink a little too much, it's very difficult to concentrate. The next thing we want to do is make sure that there is nothing distracting in our environment. So if you need to concentrate over a long period of time, consider where you're going to be working. Give yourself a reward system. If you complete a test in an x amount of time, then reward yourself in one way or another. Break up very large monotonous test into small segments; another way that we can help to be focused over short periods of time. Remember that in some cases it is difficult to concentrate over a long period of time, but there are processes that you can put in place that can help you do your best.
