"When you introduce a dog to other cats you want to make sure you have good control of at least one of them so that you can keep the situation from getting out of control. So this is Po, and as you can see Po isn't very interested in cats, but Ace is pretty interested in Po. And you can see how they're a little bit tentative, but they're sniffing each other and that's great. You can also notice that I have a leash on Po and I've got him in my arms, so in case he decides that he wants to chase the cat, he's unable to do that. Now Ace has had enough, and he backs away, and that's great. One of the problems with dogs and cats, is that dogs have sort of a chase instinct, so if the cat runs, the dog is going to chase it. So your job with supervising cats and dogs getting use to each other, is to make sure that the dog is unable to chase the cat. Eventually when they're both use to each other, the cats will stand their ground and they will get along just fine with the dogs, if the dog is able to tolerate cats."
