"Hi. My name is Harold Winchester and today I'm going to show you how to tie a lark's head knot. Now this is kind of great if you want to hang a swing for your kid or whatever and you don't want to tie the actual knot into the rope. So if you look down here you can see that I have, this is my pole I'm going to use, and this is my length of rope. Now instead of, if you have a short piece of rope this is really easy because all you've got to do is take it over and under like so and then just bring the two working ends through and then you would have your lark's head knot. But as you can see I have one long piece of string. So to do that what I'm going to do is I'm just going to take this and go over like so and then bring it back over my working end or my standing end like so, almost like I'm going to do an overhead knot but instead of doing that I'm going to go back under and then over and I'm going to bring this line back through on the same side as my standing end and of course bring these together and pull it. And there you have it. There's your lark's head knot. And this is really, all you've got to do is just pull it to get it out and there it is. So my name is Harold Winchester and that was your lark's head knot."
