"Hi, it's Dow here at the Firehouse Car Wash. Today we are going through detailing the engine compartment of your vehicle. At this stage, we've, in previous segments we've talked about protecting, we've talked about wetting things down so what we're going to do now is introduce chemical or cleaning agent into the engine. If you pick the right cleaning agent, it's going to do ninety percent of the work for us. So, it's important at this point that we've got a good product. I like to use a citrus based product. This is called orange blast, we get it from P and S. Through our distributor, Bud Co. And this does an exceptional job of getting in and just basically dissolving the grime, grease, oil, that's found in the engine compartment. We are, it's also safe, and it's a water based product. And you've got to be careful to make sure you don't have a solvent based de greaser. Again, we don't want to use introduce anything flammable into this area. We've got sparks, we've got gasoline, you know what's going on under here. So we want to be safe. In applying this, it really is important that we have the ability to cover and coat all of the vital elements that have potentially grease and oil. So we're going to be going at an angle. You want a good spray bottle so you can spray upside down, at an angle to a side, but we're really going to go through the engine at this point. It's wet, in between the cleaner, the water, it's going to activate the cleaner and it's going to start just eating away and disintegrating this grease and grime that we're trying hard to get. Again, we're not going to coat things that can't get wet. We've got our plastic bags in place. We've checked our caps. We're making sure that the engine is safe as we go through and we just start applying this. And you're going to want to be generous. Again, this is going to do ninety percent of the cleaning so let's get it on but let it do the work and then really, we end up just with a little bit of water pressure. From a water pressure gun that's held back. Now, if you don't have one, you can use a hose, you know, with a high power nozzle on it, but in this cleaning application, I prefer to have a high pressure cleaner. So we're going to generously coat the entire engine compartment with our de greaser. Top to bottom. And then we're going to sit back and wait, let it do its and then we'll talk in a future step about how to go in and start knocking this off and get our engine looking great."
