"My name is Michael Quebec and the subject of this segment is the fastest way to burn calories. Basically you are talking about those activities that burn the most amount of calories, because you are using most or all of your body parts. Those activities include running, jumping rope, swimming and when we mean swimming, we mean like really active swimming like skin diving or things like that you know continuous laps in swimming. Martial arts, boxing those are high caloric burns and rowing. Those are the activities that burn the most and just to give you an example, for instance martial arts is one thing that I know a lot about. Twelve point eight calories burned a minute or seven hundred and sixty eight calories burned an hour in martial arts. Jumping rope, ten point five calories burned a minute or six hundred and thirty calories an hour. If you were to put those in food terms, seven hundred and sixty eight calories burned a minute is your typical dinner. Alright so those are the highest ones. Basically anything that requires your whole body but especially a lot of your lower extremities like your legs. So running is also a good one. Keep in mind though that if you are going to run, it's a good idea to use the track to save your joints from damage. So that's basically it, the highest caloric burns are those activities that use your whole body especially your lower body. And to look those up you can find them in any calorie expenditure chart and or in any calorie count book at your local bookstore. Thank you."
