"Another application for the double half hitch knot is the round turn and double half hitch. In this knot the name kind of says it all. It simply starts the same way, but you have a round turn around whatever you're hitching to like so. Then you just go around and tie your double half hitch. There's one half hitch and there's the other. You just tighten it down. This gives you a little more stability like this way or even this way than just the double half hitch does. So it's really good if you have like a slick surface like a broomstick or whatever that you might be using to hitch whatever you might be hitching to."
