In this section I'll be talking about step number one on teaching a child how to swim. Now, the first thing you're going to want to do is just get them comfortable with the water. Depending on their age, you know, kids from, I don't know, a year and a half to all the way you know, to adult. So, put them in, in an area where they can touch the floor. So, you want to just kind of grab them underneath the arm pits, walk them around the water, get them used to it. Sometime kids will be crying, or, you know they may be scared of the water, but just let them know that you, you know, you're a big person, you're an adult, and that you know, you can reach the floor and you're perfectly fine, that they're safe with you. So, that's the first step. You just grab them underneath, and you just walk them around the water, and you get them very comfortable with the water, and just talk to them, maybe have them kick, smile, make them laugh, whatever you typically do with someone. And, you know the biggest thing is just to really ease them into the water at first. That's the first initial thing you want them to do, cause that's where you can tell like how nervous they are, how nervous they're not, or how comfortable they are, and things like that, and what you can get away with. In this section it's a continuation of step one. When you grab the child underneath the armpits, and you just walk them around the water. So, you'll just grab them, imagine if I had them right here, and you'll just walk them around, walk them around, and you just get them really comfortable around the water. Always make sure it's around the steps, and always make sure that you're holding onto them, and this is like the first thing that you want to do with a child.
