"Now I'm going to talk about how to do a slice shot on the forehand side. A slice is a very good shot to do when you're barely reaching and you're barely getting there. And you just get the ball in. It's normally going to have a low bounce, it also has to change the rhythm of your games. So in tennis it's a good resource to have a good slice shot. You want to change your grip. I like to use my hammer grip, or the hammer grip, or continental. You're basically going to grab the racquet as a hammer. And what you're going to do, as the ball comes in, you're going to step in. Put your weight forward, hit the racquet, hit the ball with the racquet looking up instead of down and out. You're kind of like go start up, and go forward. You're going to hit the ball, keep it there for a little while and then tell the racquet until you've finished the shot. And you've gone back to the ready position. And that is how a slice forehand is done."
