Video Transcript

"When your kitten is approximately eight weeks old, after it has been completely weaned from mom. Or, if you were hand feeding it, if it's completely eating regular kitten food, it's time to find them a new home. So, what you want to do when you send it to the new home is to make sure that you send the health record from your veterinarian that will include any deworming, any exams that the kitten might have had. When you look inside there's a little sheet here that your veterinarian will fill out so that the new owner has a complete record of what's been done with this kitten medically. Other things that you want to do when you transfer your kitty to a new home is to send it home with a bag of food so that it will be able to transition from it's old food to any new food that your, the new owner may want to feed it. And, it's always great to send a favorite stuffed animal or its favorite toy with it so that it can feel comfortable when it arrives at its new surroundings. And, the last thing is that you want to make sure that the new owner knows what type of cat litter that you've been using that your kitty is used to so, again, they can have a comfortable start in their new home with familiar things like their familiar cat litter."
