"Hello, my name is Rocky Gillis. I'm with the Broward County Athletic Association and Offense-Defense Football Camps. In this clip, we're going to give you some wide receiver catching tips. One of the key things that we like to do is work on concentration and focus and one of those is practicing catching the ball with one hand. Now, they're trying to concentrate, balls coming over the shoulder, one hand, outside hand. We're first practicing with the right hand, and after this, we're going to go and we'll practice doin' with the left hand. Same drill, the other side. We're practicing this because there a number of times when you will not have both hands at your disposal. You may have a defensive back hanging on one side and you have to be able to catch the ball with just that one hand. Also, it helps them to concentrate and focus on the ball as it's coming in. Again, one of the other drills that we'll do about wide receiver tech, catching tips is not only just to make sure they're focused, but remembering that the main thing is to catch the ball. Again, as we approach the side line, it's very important that they make sure that they have the catch, tuck it away before they begin to run. Again, this has been Rocky Gillis. Thank you for watching."
