"Hi. My name is John Niemira and I want to talk to you about opening a boutique in your home. Opening a business like that in your home is kind of special. You really have to have an insider's knowledge and have worked in a boutique before. Know what's going on in a boutique, what services they provide and how they do it successfully. Opening it in your home can be even tougher than opening a store front. Store fronts going to be more expensive of course. You're probably going to get more foot traffic, but opening it in your home can have a lot of advantages to it. You want to make sure you're getting the correct licensing through the county, visit your city and county offices either on line or in person. Knowing your customer base, developing a great marketing plan so when you do actually open the doors, you do have customers. Opening a business in your home can be risky on the other side of liabilities. Make sure you have the correct insurance in case something were to happen in your business and somebody tried to sue you. Make sure you have a good marketing plan. You know who you're gonna, who your customers are. And just be very, very careful and do lots of research.
