Hi, my name is Charlotte Skiles. I'm a Nutrition Consultant and Clinical Herbalist with Eat in Peace Wellness Consulting located in Austin, Texas. And today I'm going to talk to you about vitamin supplements. So, vitamin supplements are basically ways to supplement the diet. People feel like they may not be getting full nutrition from the foods that they do eat or don't eat and so you've simply supplement with what you think you are, are not getting. And the concern here is a little bit about philosophy so a lot of the supplements on the market for vitamins are synthetic, they're man made. They're based on what we can first identify in food and then what we can actually replicate synthetically in a laboratory. So this isn't a conversation, vitamin supplements, you're kind of get lost about, well what don't we know that we don't know. What are we looking at in food that we don't know as there and we can't replicate it. So my philosophy as a Nutritionist is base on whole food supplementation. That's what I am biased to and; but there's a lot there on the market; people will good results. I do recommend that people supplement with vitamins in general because our soil and our food supply is very deficient at this point in the game. So, but my two cents is for whole food supplementation. So that's all what I have to say about vitamin supplements.
