Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today I'm going to show you how to completely wipe a computer clean. Now what we're going to use is a program called the Ultimate Boot CD. If you get on Google and do a search for Ultimate Boot CD, you can find, probably one of the first couple of hits will be where you can go and download it and then you can burn it to a CD just like this one that I have here. So I'm going to stick this computer in my, CD into my computer. You want to do it with your computer turn all the way off. I'm actually using a virtual computer to demonstrate this to you. So I'm just going to put, pop this CD into my computer and then in my virtual machine I'm going to boot to it. So what you're going to see is your computer will boot up to the CD drive and it will tell you to press enter to boot the Ultimate Boot CD. I'm just going to press enter and I get a listing of all of the programs that I can use with this. I want to go to hard disk tools and then I want to select wiping tools and then there's a program called Dereks Boot and Nuke. Just select that program and it will actually boot what they call D Ban or Dereks Boot and Nuke. Now once Dereks Boot and Nuke is loaded, it's going to let you decide what partitions you want to wipe. I want to do the entire hard disk which is the first entry that it shows. So I just press the space bar to select it and then I press F10 to start the wipe. It's now going through my entire hard drive and wiping it completely. My name is Dave Andrews and I've just showed you how to completely wipe a computer's hard drive.
