"Hi this is Doug on behalf of ExpertVillage.com. Now how do you get ready for performing sleight of hand or what objects might you use, using sleight of hand? Here are a few objects that I like to use using sleight of hand. Anything that's small that can fit into your hand. Magicians will be using a lot of cards, a deck of cards is handy to have for any kind of sleight of hand movement. An oversize penny if you have one lying around the house, is very popular. We've got any small object, small balls, small fruit is very popular. Any coin's very easy to have in your pocket, you can find around the house. Large coins, any objects you might find around the house that you can manipulate. Every one will have a different effect. You can actually even use the same sleight of hand with different objects and finding and producing a different result because it is a different object. Very important that your audience see a little bit of variation, and that you can do magic at the drop of a hat, so to speak. Again, increasing the idea that you are magic, it's effortless. You can use any object around the house to make it appear. You can make it disappear and manipulate it in all sorts of fashions."
