"JOHN CARSTARPHEN: Hi, this is John Carstarphen for Expert Village. Let's look at another fun way to manipulate text in Cinema 4D. This time were going to use what's called the pulse. And you'll see the effect as I moved the time line scrubber along the bottom of the view port windows. And the text seems to grow; it's sort of a squash and stretch effect. And this can be very easily accomplished by simply creating your text, dropping it into some kind of an extrude NURBS or some kind of NURBS object, so that you can see it. And then go to the time line, and we create an effects tracks by going to new, special effects, pulsate. Now, as you see we have several different types of special effects tracks that we can add. We have a vibrate track, a visibility track, so that we could fade things in and out, sound, and texture, and so forth."
