Video Transcript

"Hi! I'm Jenifer Cononico with Expert Village on our lesson learning how to type on a keyboard. Next we are going to learn about finger and hand placement on the keyboard. Our center row is the third row down from the top. We want to place our fingers beginning with our pinkie fingers on the letter a and this right hand pinkie on the semicolon. Your center row the letter g and letter a are going to both be left blank. This is very important that you have this third row down, 4 fingers set here because this is your home base. Your thumbs are for the keyboard and your pinkies are next to the caps lock and the enter is far to reach. "
